About Us

Oakwood has 2 counselors. Mrs. Zumwalt is our lead counselor at Oakwood every day; Mrs.Wilkerson is our shared counselor with AMCMS and she is at Oakwood Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday.

Mackenzie Zumwalt

Howdy! My name is Mackenzie Zumwalt and I am the Counselor at Oakwood Intermediate School. This is my 6th year at Oakwood and 11th year as a counselor in CSISD. I am so excited to work with your child this year. I graduated from Texas A&M University and earned my Counseling Degree from Lamar University. My hobbies include spending time with my family, volunteering, and being outdoors with my family.

I look forward to helping your child grow emotionally and academically while at Oakwood Intermediate. My door is always open for you to visit with me if you have any concerns. Jessica Wilkerson

Howdy! My name is Jessica Wilkerson and I am the counselor for both Oakwood Intermediate and A&M Consolidated Middle Schools. This is my 10th year as a counselor, 6th year in CSISD. I am excited to return to Oakwood and work with your children this upcoming year. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2002 and earned my Masters of School Counseling from Lamar University. I am currently working on my LPC-I and I look forward to working both directly and indirectly with all students at Oakwood. My interests include spending time with my family, traveling, and sports.

I look forward to supporting your child(ren) emotionally, socially, and academically through small groups, individual sessions, and classroom guidance while at Oakwood Intermediate.
